On 21st June 1945 Major (Temporary) Edward Fisher Williams was Appointed to the Military Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by King George VI, being awarded the MBE.

His medals, from left to right; MBE, 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal and the Territorial Efficiency Decoration, this is dated 1951 indicating that he continued his military service with the Territorial Army after the war.
