Arrival

The museum is located on a secure military site. You will be met on arrival at the camp gate and guided to the museum.

To find out more about how to reach us click here.

Whilst there is no designated disabled parking, there is plenty of parking available close to the museum building with space around your vehicle.

Steps

There are two steps up to the museum entrance. There is also a wheelchair ramp on the side of the building. This is not suitable for large powered wheelchairs.

The museum is arranged over a single floor so there are no internal stairs to negotiate.

Toilets

We have male and female toilets. However, we do not have a designated disabled toilet with enough space for use with assistance.

Seating

There is seating provided in every gallery and fold out stools can be provided for visitors to use.

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs are welcome. Please do let us know if you are bringing a guide dog and we can provide water for them. There is a designated spending area.

Quiet Space

Upon request, we are happy to arrange free private tours of the museum so that you may have the galleries to yourself. You are more than welcome at any point during your visit to use any gallery space as a quiet space. Chairs will be available and interactives switched off.

Hearing Induction Loop

The museum has a portable hearing induction loop system. Please let staff know if you would like to use it at any point during your visit.

Visual Guide

We have put together a visual guide to help you prepare for your visit.
