Captain Henderson survived the war having been awarded, from left to right; France and Germany Star, War Medal, Defence Medal and the American Bronze Star for ‘Meritorious service in connection with Military Operations against the enemy from 20th May 1944 to October 1944 in England, France and Belgium.

After the war he joined the Intelligence Corps Comrades Association where he was member number 653.
