This Croix du Capitaine Michel was awarded to Stephan Grady for his assistance to the Reseau Action Sylvestre Buckmaster, a French Resistance group during the Second World War.
Grady was also awarded the OBE, a Mention in Despatches (MiD), the French Croix de Guerre and the US Medal of Freedom, although sadly these medals are not held by the museum.
