22207146 Warrant Officer One Peter Desmond Neville Broomfield retired from the Army on 7th March 1972 after 24 years service.
Having transferred into the Intelligence Corps from the Royal Artillery, he spent much of his later service as a PI, a Photographic Interpreter.
Considered by his sons to have been ‘Army Barmy’ to the end of his life, his medals are, left to right: the Defence Medal, the War Medal and the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
