In 1973, at the end of his service, Staff Sergeant NR Woodhouse retired to live in Germany. He then donated his Mess Dress jacket and miniature medals to the museum, in his words, ‘to give something back.’

His medals are, from left to right: General Service Medal (GSM) 1918-62 with Clasps for Arabian Peninsula and Brunei and the GSM 1962-2007 with Borneo Clasp.
