Camp J, Warrant Officer

James Camp joined the Intelligence Corps from the Military Police and from October 1915 to May 1919 served in France and Belgium in an ‘Intelligence Police’ unit whose duties included the detection of enemy agents and the control of movement of suspects and ‘undesirables’. He was awarded the 1914-15 Star, the War Medal and Victory Medal. His service continued into World War 2 for which he was awarded the Defence Medal.
