Captain, Honorary Major, Frederick John Stopp MBE obtained his MA at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. After the war he returned to Cambridge and resumed his scholarly pursuits as a tutor and Fellow of Gonville and Caius where his speciality was Modern Languages, specifically German.
His medals are, left to right: The MBE, 1939-45 Star, Africa Star with 8th Army Clasp, Italy Star, Defence Medal and War Medal with Mention in Despatches Oakleaf.
