In his later years Sergeant George Lawson lived in the Royal Star and Garter home at Richmond, Surrey, who passed his medals to the museum on his death in 1995.

His medals are, from left to right; the 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, General Service Medal with Malaya Clasp and United Nations Korea Medal.
