Major JW Antcliffe

John William Antcliff joined the Intelligence Corps in 1955 and served in Libya, Malaya, Singapore, France, Spain, the UK, Germany and with the Sultan of Oman’s forces during Op Jason, a counter insurgency operation in the Dhofar region of Oman.
His globe-spanning service earned Major Antcliff, from left to right: The General Service Medal (GSM) 1918-62 with Cyprus Clasp, the GSM 1962-2007 with Malaya Clasp, the Sultan of Oman’s Distinguished Service Medal, the Sultan’s GSM with Dhofar clasp and the As Samood (Endurance) Medal.
John passed away in 1995 at the young age of 57.
