Cpl MH Cousins medals are, left to right, the 1914-15 Star, the War Medal, the Victory Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), awarded when he was a Corporal for “distinguished, meritorious service.” The citation for MSM also states that he “built up a most efficient organisation.”
