Major LO Bosworth mobilised early in the First World War, by the close of which he had been awarded, left to right: Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE), the Military Cross (MC), the 1914 Star with Clasp; 5th Jul – 22nd Nov 1914, the War Medal and the Victory Medal with a mention in Despatches Oak Leaf.

Having delivered distinguished service in one war. Major Bosworth went on to play in the Second World War, being awarded the Defence Medal.
